1. General

Mahjong Elite ("the Application") is a mobile game developed and operated by the individual developer publishing under the Apple Developer Program ("the Developer").

The Developer reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Application or any part of its services at any time without prior notice.

By downloading, installing, or using Mahjong Elite, you agree to these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy.

2. Anonymous Accounts

Mahjong Elite does not require registration with an email address, password, or any other credentials. On first launch, an anonymous account with a randomly generated user ID is created automatically to save your game progress, virtual currency, and purchases, and to restore them if you reinstall the Application.

You may request deletion of your anonymous account and all associated data at any time by contacting the Developer at the email address below. Deleting your account permanently removes your progress, virtual currency, and purchase benefits, and this cannot be undone.

3. Virtual Currency and In-App Purchases

The Application offers optional in-app purchases of virtual currency ("Coins") and other virtual items processed through Apple's App Store.

• Coins and virtual items have no real-world monetary value, cannot be exchanged for real money or items of value outside the Application, and are not transferable to other users or accounts.
• All purchases are final. Except where required by applicable law or by Apple's refund policies, purchases of virtual currency and items are non-refundable. Refund requests are handled exclusively by Apple through the App Store.
• Coins may be earned through gameplay or purchased; both are subject to these Terms equally.
• The Developer may modify the price, availability, or functionality of virtual currency and items at any time. If the Application is permanently discontinued, unused virtual currency will expire without compensation.

4. Leaderboards and Fair Play

The Application includes leaderboards on which your display alias and scores are visible to other players.

You agree not to:

• Cheat, exploit bugs, or use any automation, modification, or third-party tools to gain an unfair advantage;
• Manipulate scores, progress, or virtual currency by technical means;
• Use an offensive, misleading, or infringing display alias.

The Developer reserves the right to reset scores or progress, remove leaderboard entries, or suspend or terminate access to online features for accounts that violate these rules.

5. Technical Security

The Application communicates with backend services to store game progress and operate online features. All access credentials and technical secrets are confidential, securely stored, and not accessible to users or third parties. Reasonable technical measures, including encrypted connections and signed local storage, are implemented to protect data and prevent unauthorized access or manipulation.

6. Third-Party Services

The Application uses third-party service providers for backend hosting, purchase processing, and related functionality. These services process only the data required for the Application to function, as described in the Privacy Policy.

The Developer is not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third-party services or websites that may be linked within the Application.

7. Intellectual Property

All content in the Application — including graphics, artwork, game design, sounds, and software — is owned by or licensed to the Developer and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or create derivative works of the Application or its content, except as permitted by applicable law.

You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Application for private, non-commercial entertainment purposes on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, in accordance with the App Store Terms of Service.

8. Availability and Updates

Online features (leaderboards, purchases, progress sync) require an internet connection and depend on the availability of backend services. The Developer does not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the Application or its online features. Updates may be required for continued use.

9. Limitation of Liability

Although reasonable efforts are made to ensure the Application functions correctly, interruptions, errors, or data loss may occur.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer shall not be liable for any direct or indirect damages, loss of virtual currency or progress, loss of profit, data loss, or third-party damages resulting from the use or inability to use the Application. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.

10. Termination

The Developer may suspend or terminate access to the Application or its online features in case of a material violation of these Terms, including cheating or abuse. You may stop using the Application at any time; you may also request deletion of your anonymous account as described in Section 2.

11. Changes to These Terms

These Terms of Use may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be posted within the Application or on this page, along with an updated revision date. Continued use of the Application constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
